Here are the pages I have included in my Christmas Planner section:
Well, that's it, I will be sad when Christmas is over and the planner will go back to sitting on a shelf. I hope that you enjoyed my little planner peek/flip through. I would love to hear how you do your Christmas planning in the comments below. Stay tuned for a few more videos and flip throughs this week including a re-upload of my shared Art Journal (I deleted it by mistake) and a flip through of my Smashbook, other art journal and my bullet/list journal, so make sure you are subscribed to the blog and to You Tube (links below).
I'm going to be on TV... exciting stuff if a little nerve-wracking. My students are the main reason of course, I'm actually still unsure as to whether I will appear at all. We filmed way back in July as part of workshops with Nottingham University for the DH Lawrence festival which we take an active role in every year. With any luck the students work and rehearsal process will be shown for a few minutes as part of the Sons and Lovers section. So far the festival has seen us performing in all of DH Lawrence's houses, at The Lakeside Theatre at the University and the creating a film for the University's website.
Be sure to tune in on Sunday if you are from the East Midlands region on BBC1 at 15.45.
In other exciting news, I have decided to offer some of my pixel graphics as free printables.
I have a lot of graphics that I have pixelled over the last 15 years and it would be a shame not to offer them up to the Planner World. The graphics will be downloadable pdf files for use in planners for personal use only and can be used to pretty up your pages as stickers. They do unfortunately have my old sites copyright on, but you can cut around most of it. Teaser below...watch this space ._.
KERRYMAY._.MAKES JOURNALING FUN:
I have finally got around to adding some photos to my travel journal from my recent Summer holiday in Spain. I'm still not finished, but will post a flip through video when it is complete.
WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU:
I pack a kit of washi tape, pritt stick and coloured pens so that I can update on the go or in the hotel or by the pool. What better way to spend a day than sitting in the sun with your journal?
Black paper is something I wanted to try for this journal. I have seen some lovely journals using white and gold pens and they really stand out on a black background. I also added a bit of watercolour on the pages edge and topped it off with some journaling cards from Mrs Brimbles. These were in the May or June box I think.
For further inspiration see my two completed travel journals in the videos at the bottom of this post.
The journal above was a handmade journal that I put together using a variety of different papers, all different sizes. I like to use a mixture of papers to give different backgrounds to give the journal individuality. This page has an insert from a mindful colouring book as well as project life style journaling cards and ephemera. I cut the paper to size, then put it through the sewing machine to bind it, but you can easily use a long armed stapler instead or hand sew it.
I would love to see your travel journals and set up's, feel free to post a link below to share your pages. Be sure to follow on Instagram and You Tube from the links below to see more of my journaling.
I decided a few weeks ago to set up a You Tube channel and film my first ever flip through. I am a complete journal fanatic and have already filled several journals since starting in March. Below is my first travelogue. More videos coming soon including more journal flip throughs, unboxings and creative ideas and plan with me's. Watch this space and feel free to subscribe for further videos.
